Pull Up Bar Maintenance Guide

A pull-up bar is a pretty simple thing to have but that doesn’t mean you’ll ignore the care and maintenance it needs.

After using the bar every time, try to clean the entire body with a clean cloth. The sweat from your palms can cause the bar to be moist and be dusty later on. So make sure it’s dry and cleaned after you use it every time. You can also use sanitizers or disinfecting wipes at times to make sure there are no bacteria on the bar.

As for detailed cleaning, take a sponge and dip it into a solution of mild soap and water. Scrub all over the bar. For the grip areas, use a damp cloth to wipe over, scrubbing can damage the texture. After cleaning over the bar, take a dry towel and wipe all over to make sure no residues are left.

If you do pull-ups on a regular basis, conduct this cleaning session every two weeks. Make sure the mounting hardware is in its utmost condition. Take a small brush to clean the mounting tools, don’t use any water as it can trigger rusting. If there are any hinges or screw bolts in your bar, apply little oil every now and then to keep them smoothly functioning.

Bottom Line

After going through the list, you’ve probably found your preferred pull up bar. Don’t hesitate to look for them when you go out to shop for one.
